Sword & Thread
Brand Identity & Product Design
Sword & Thread is a conceptual brand identity for a premium, boutique outfitter designed specifically for the discerning fantasy adventurer.
The goal was to build a brand from a high-concept narrative, positioning a fictional shop as a luxe, in-world boutique. I developed comprehensive brand system that proves fantasy aesthetics can be elevated and "fashion-forward." By treating a fictional business with the strategic rigor of a real-world luxury client, the project demonstrates an understanding of thematic storytelling and high-fidelity brand execution.
The “boutique” concept: Position the brand as a high-fidelity "in-universe" experience for when the rogue needs to infiltrate a high-society masquerade, or the mage requires a tailored robe that resists arcane singeing.
Refining the vision: Take the initial "fantasy shop" idea and upgrade the visual language from generic medieval tropes to a sophisticated, minimalist identity that feels both ancient and contemporary.
Symbolic identity: Develop a primary mark that weaves a sword, needle, and thread into a seamless, high-contrast monogram.
Tactile palette: Curate a regal and academic color story—deep emeralds, parchment creams, and metallic gold—to evoke wealth, travel, and mystery.
