Breakwater Accounting & Advisory

Breakwater is a people-first, technology-forward accounting firm with a friendly approach. When I began rebuilding their style guide and branding, it was with approachability in mind! Some keywords they brought to the table were beachy, fun, sleek and clean. I turned to the classic boardwalk signage of the 50s for inspiration, the lines of the boardwalk itself, waves crashing on a beach, and strong geometric shapes to tie it all together.

Style Guide

I created Breakwater’s style guide, something they’d always had on their wishlist. The team wanted something beachy, approachable, and cohesive with their current logo to support their ideal of being not-your-average accounting firm.

Presentation & Deck Design

In addition to designing the look and feel of both PowerPoint and Google Slides for Breakwater, I also took it upon myself to create their base templates to ensure cohesion and consistency. It was important that these templates not only be clean on-brand, but also easy to use across the entire team.

It was important to consider how much information is necessary for an accounting firm’s presentations. Org charts, spreadsheets, timeline graphs, company goals—all with easily digestible single-page spreads.
