Ibotta Arcade

Branding, integrated marketing campaign, email design, social media, illustration & pixel art

Ibotta is a leading cash back rewards platform that allows savers to earn real money on their purchases, whether they are shopping online or in-store.

As a Graphic Designer on the Direct To Consumer (D2C) creative team, my role is to evolve and maintain the D2C brand identity across a sprawling digital ecosystem including email and marketing campaigns, in-app messaging, custom and client-paid ad products, paid and organic social media, web design, and icons and illustration.

Ibotta Arcade is a brand-new feature in the Ibotta app where you can play games and earn real cash. This was one of the largest D2C initiatives of 2026 for Ibotta, introducing an entirely new way to earn cash back without making a purchase. My goal was to brand the Ibotta Arcade in a way that felt distinctly Ibotta alongside all the other diverse and non-customizable assets (like game imagery) to both feel dynamic as well as familiar; essentially, how do I ensure our users feel at-home even when prompted to download a third-party app.

Pixellated playfulness: Create a bespoke set of pixel art icons unique to our Arcade comms, unifying the entire “arcade” concept with a wink at retro 8-bit gaming while also pushing something new and exciting.

Dark mode: Ibotta primarily uses white for our backgrounds and environments, so setting the Arcade against a dark charcoal sets it apart from our other initiatives, conveying this is both new but also cool.

Flexibility: Create assets that play nicely and feel cohesive across social media, marketing comms, blog posts, external media, and within the app itself alongside our third-party platform.
